Fisheries Management Assistant-One only
Temporary engagement of personnel for Engineering section, Bio-resources Conservation Hub, and fisheries at IASST, Paschim Boragaon, Guwahati.
Essential qualifications: Masters' degree in Aquaculture/Fisheries Resource Management/Fish Health/Fish Processing/Zoology from a recognized university with
good knowledge of indigenous fishes and other aquatic fauna of north east India and fish farm activities and its management.
OR
Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) from a recognized university with minimum two years of practical experience with good knowledge of indigenous fishes and other aquatic fauna of north east India and fish farm activities.
Desirable qualifications: (1) Good knowledge of fish breeding and pond management, and (2) Experience of integrated farming system with fish as a
component. The candidate is also expected to have working knowledge on vermicomposting.
Job Responsibilities: Continuous management and monitoring of field activities in relation to fisheries, Construction and management of fish farm, hatchery management, product processing and integrated fish farming etc., production of vermin compost and other bio-inputs.
Age: Up to 35 years as on 01.01.2018
Illegibility: All categories of candidates may apply.
While selection of candidate, consideration for SC/ST candidate shall be given as per Govt. of India rules.
Engagement period: Initially for a short period. Extendable based on work performance and output.
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) only per month.
